HONOKOWAI OKAZUYA & DELI   Phone orders 665-0512  Two time winner of the Maui News People's Choice award.  This is phone ahead and take out, but an absolute must when on Maui.  My personal favorite is the Mahi Mahi with Lemon Capers.  No website link.  Not open on Sundays or Holidays.  Hours:  10:00 a.m. - 2:30 and 4:30 - 9:00  If they don't answer, just show up.  Lines are frequently on the sidewalk waiting to get in.

People frequently ask us what we do for a week end gettaway.  My personal favorite is spending a couple of days on the Island of Lanai.  We have stayed at both 5 star hotels, the old Hotel Lanai and B & B's.  They are all great.  If you would like to try it, here are some short cuts:  To reserve the Boat ride over call Expeditions 661-3746 (5 shuttles a day), Car rental is Dollar 800 533-7808 (bus shuttle is available for $10), Both 4 Season's (5 star) Hotels call 800 321-4666, Hotel Lanai 565-4700, Our friend Miranda's condo 870-2425, and a 2 br plantation style cottage 559-6337.  Henry Clay's Restaurant (we give it 4 stars) is located in the Hotel Lanai and reservations can be made through their front desk.  Lanai's population is around 3,000 people.  It is slow paced friendly atmosphere that is an unforgettable experience.
